What Is HYROX?
HYROX is a unique indoor fitness race that combines:
- 8 x 1km runs
- 8 functional workouts in between (sled push/pull, rowing, wall balls, burpee broad jumps, and more)
It’s a full-body grind that requires endurance, strength, pacing, and precision.
It’s not just for elites—there are individual, doubles, and team divisions to match any level.
But showing up underprepared? That’s a fast track to frustration and injury.
How to Train for HYROX (The Smart Way)
At Move Strong, we’ve built a HYROX Training Program that focuses on:
1. Hybrid Conditioning
Blending running with functional strength isn’t easy. We coach you on how to pace, breathe, and recover between stations—so you don’t burn out halfway through.
2. Movement Efficiency
Burpees, wall balls, and sled work all have form demands. Our coaching helps you move better, avoid injury, and shave time off your transitions.
3. Strength Endurance
Pushing a sled isn’t just about power—it’s about repeatable force output under fatigue. We train you to maintain effort when your tank feels empty.
4. Tactical Planning
We cover:
- Race day strategy
- Nutrition and hydration prep
- Footwear, warm-ups, and mental rehearsal
Because when you’re prepared, you’re dangerous.
Our Program: Built for Every Level
Whether you’re doing your first HYROX or trying to hit a new PR, we’ve got options:
- 4 days of weekly HYROX-specific classes (Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun – 35–45 mins)
- Pre-season fitness testing, half and full-simulation events and quarterly benchmarks
- Structured programming across training blocks
- Open to Move Strong members and non-members
